Maybe consider buying 40mm 2.8 ? it's much cheaper so You could afford 100mm 2.8L Macro.

I got that set: 40mm 2.8 + 100mm 2.8L IS Macro but on T2i(550d) and Im thinking about upgrading to 6D or 5D2. How is your experience after moving to 6d? as I can see You had same camera before, hows "camera feeling", buttons layout, IQ is much improved? Do you think its worth it?

I really can't give you much personal experience because my 6D arrived only yesterday and I haven't even had time to take any real photos. However, I did a lot of research and there is no question that 6D has much higher image quality than T2i. I am going to sell my T2i, but before I do, I will be taking photos using the same lens and comparing the two cameras. One of the biggest reasons why full frame can produce high quality photos is the micro focus adjustment that is not available on the cropped sensor cameras. When I bought the 50mm 1.4 for my T2i, I had to return the lens because it wasn't correctly focusing with the body and there was nothing I could do about it. With the 6D, there is even software made specifically for this type of calibration.

Also, I think there is just too much hype about 5D Mark II. The 6D is not only worth the $300 extra, but if you look for a deal, you can get it for the same price as the Mark II (or in my case cheaper than).

Thanks For Your advice. I will definetely be buying 6D. I just have to wait i while as I heard that Canon will be doing cashback offers from middle of march on particular lenses and cameras. That will save me 100£ :)

I had the 135L and traded it for a 100L. The 135L is great... the extra stop of light is awesome and the bokeh is about as good as it gets. The 100L though is way more fun to use as a daily walk-around. Super super tack sharp, really nice buttery bokeh (Not quite as much blur but just as nice in quality), macro, and IS. The IS makes up for the lost stop of light for me. If I could have both I certainly wouldn't complain, but I'd almost certainly still use the 100L more.

Thank you very much, Christian.

It's a great world in there when we have a macro lens, isn't it.

First non-test shot capture with this lens.

How did you set up for this kind of shot? Excellent, tack sharp photos.
