I got no bugs or green grass around here in Japan.
Temperature is a high of 45* F today, has been about 32* F all last week.

Where I live it has been getting as hot as 40* C, one day it even reached 45 so I wish I had your weather!

haha I would happily trade you! Me and my girlfriend really want to go Japan so I'm sure we could make it permanent :P It doesn't get very cold here in winter, just really strong winds.

On a 5DIII.

I was using my 70-200, but he kept letting me get closer and closer until I could no longer focus on him. So I went in an swapped to my 100mm. Theses were taken from 2-2.5 feet, I believe. Bless his little heart :).

Thanks. I get one occasionally that'll let me get that close. Four-five feet is more usual.

edit: The pictures aren't looking real crisp; don't know if it's this monitor (at work) or my processing.

Pics look good, but I am not sure what the tan / brown OOF is on the bottom right of 2 and 3.
It looks to be in front of the subject rather than a thin DOF, but the bird looks sharp. :cool:
