It's going to be tricky depending how they are lined up or grouped. Is your camera FF or crop? Do you want to shoot them full size or just their faces?
I wouldn't shoot 3 kids with that one and possibly use a 35mm or similar. For portraits of a single kid the 100mm would be fantastic.

I'm seeing that. Even at f4 or 5 I cannot get all three in focus at all even right next to each other in a straight line.
