Anyone wanna hazard a guess what this might be? (I would've never known until I aimed the 100L directly at it.) Taken close to (if not at) MFD, so 1:1 mag. This is a 100% crop.

I'd say your computer screen.

It's a pretty common thing to macro, a lot of people, including me, have shot their screens. Plus, if you've ever worked on computer screens you know the pattern all too well.

First attempts now the sun's out. Not many keepers .... that DOF takes some getting used to. But I can see there's going to be a lot of fun with this lens.

Has any one had issues with slow focus? Or your lens not finding a focus point? I have the lens but im finding the focus can be slow or it has trouble finding any focus point at all. I am using with my 7d. any one have this issue? I am more of a wide shooter. i use a 11-16 and a 30mm more. so if any one can give me a tip that would rock!

If the light is even a bit low the lens does not seem to snap in to focus. i was just a bit suprised because every one has said its so fast. But again i am not a macro shooter.

thanks !
-Pjakob

I use MF for macro, but AF for everything else and have had no issues. I shoot hummingbirds with mainly one-shot AF and it snaps right onto those little suckers.
