I think that it should be cropped a little closer to her on the bottom and I find that she appears a little green (probably just the reflection off of the grass).

I love the pose, her expression and the sharpness and bokeh of this picture.

Print it and frame it!:) :)

Hmmm... Maybe it is a LITTLE green. :)

Dave,

I like your version much better. I don't mind at all. I didn't realize how green it was, until I saw your version.

Thanks.

Thank you. I intend on doing just that. :)

What did you do?

So, let's see how many variations of this picture we can get?

Thanks everyone.

Well I guess I'll join in on the PS fun.......I too found the original a little 'green' and I felt it needed a crop. Warmed up the skin a bit.......cropped into square format, USM layer, added frame. Great capture of a beautiful little girl!!

schmoezel nailed it!!! Now, that photo is just right, although that cute kid makes all of them work, but tweaked just right and it becomes a much better shot.

This image does beg to be played with.:)
I think it's because the colour casts are so subtle-it's a real challenge!

I think most have gone overboard with the green correction, turning the poor bub's face abit purple

After lots of attempts i settled on :

Overall green was reduced slightly and blue abit more so-in 'colour variations' set to minimum (PS elements I)
Then brightness and contrast was increased ever so slightly (it has a nice soft effect which i didn't want to ruin)
Next the cyan was removed from the eyes and the flash reflections sharpened subtly

THEN i finally got to the green and yellow satuaration. In the end i didn't change the yellow much at all.It gives the image a nice warmth even if it is abit bright,it looks odd without it

Finally i sharpened the face a tiny amount and bumped up the red saturation to warm her skin (tricky and easy to overdo because she has no yellow in her skin in this photo)

Overall i'm satisfied with the realistic colour i've achieved but it does lack a little of the warm glow of the original.

On reading the others comments i very much agree with cropping the bottom off.It looks right with most of the lower grass gone.

A georgeous pic -definitely one to frame !!!:D :D
