I just wanted to let everyone know that Adorama just sent me a shipping confirmation for the BG-E7, so they're finally shipping. Now, if they could just send me that 7D that goes with it...

^

You're right. Just got my e-mail. Coming via Fedex instead of UPS ground this time. Hm... Wishful thinking on my part if it can catch up to my Monday delivery. But soon enough.

When your tracking number starts working (mine still doesn't, but yours might), it SHOULD give you an estimated delivery date. I hope you get yours whenever you're expecting to get it. FedEx has ground shipping, too, so they may have used that option because of the free shipping deal. Either way, it looks like I'll be staring at the grip while imagining that there's a body attached to it. I hate the waiting game, but I knew the rules going into it, so I guess I'll just have to continue to wait patiently. Damn that 11% cashback!

Hm... FedEx is being lousy at updating shipping information. Crummy.

It might not be FedEx. I'm getting the same crummy non-updated information. Something tells me that it probably hasn't left Adorama yet. Oh, well...

Let us know how the fit/feel is!
I'll probably end up getting this in a month or so.

I don't have the camera with me today, but the grip pretty much feels the same as the 5D MKII grip, except it has the M-Fn button on it, which is nice. It's definitely built better than the BG-E2N grip, but it's still feels like a typical Canon brick-shaped battery grip. :)

From the photos, I see it has a slight "cup" to it. No?

Hmm, where about? It seems the same, but I'll check it out next to my 5D's grip later.

Received my 7D overnight just intime for the drive to the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. But they were out of the the BG-E7. Then I got their email today its on the way. Haven't shot an ungripped DSLR in awhile. At least it will be easier to tell the difference in my two cameras

Where the grip meets the body, there seems to be some kind of curvature...maybe very slight?

Could be the angle of the photos I've seen...

But in your estimation, pretty much the same size/sharp/ergonomics as the other grips?
