There used to be Canon gear here but it disappeared.

I saw that on Gizmodo yesterday... a very cool shot and setup. That's a total sell-job for PWs, if I ever saw one.

Yeah really, the rig itself looks nuts but the sheer number of PW's strung there and what looks to be 1DsMk3's isn't a bad marketing gimmick either :)

I'll get a chance to see these photos as part of a presentation next week, here at Charlottesville's Paramount Theatre. Mike "Nick" Nichols lives here in C'ville, and regularly shows off his work, typically to sold out Crowds.

Nick is an awesome guy, and I had the pleasure of working for him this past summer at Charlottesville's "Look 3 Festival Of The Photograph". If you have any specific questions on the rig, post them here and if I get a chance to chat with him quickly next week I'll see if I can get an answer for you.

Cheers,

Chris.

I never really understood why I couldn't get the same photos as the National Geographic Guys.
I think I just found out I will never get a picture like them.:cry:

The difference isnt only the knowledge of photography - it is sometimes about just having the budget and backup to get the gear to get the shots!

Ah, what we could all do with Bill Gates fortune!

Or just 1% of it!

I dream of having even 0.001% which would still amount to millions!
