Forgetting the kid's size, that's an excellent picture. It really speaks a simple and painful story.

thanks Mike

Are you sure he isn't really 17 and repeated a few grades?

He is actually 12, he's in gifted classes as well.

I also asked the coach why he's not playing HS, and apparently it's against school rules to play until 9th grade. So, there's gonna be another year of crushing 4'11" nose guards

That's a great capture. I can only imagine what was going through the mind of the player who lined up across from him :)

He should be the running back. I can't imgaine anyone in his age group trying to stop him (or brave enough to try).

I agree.. he could drag 11 kids for 50 yards.

Looks like he's holding 52's hand lol.

Has he been checked for a brain tumor? Is dad massive?

Yea.. it does! 52 is probably the smartest kid out there.. I would be holding his hand too!!

I never saw his Dad, but my daughter said his sister is about 6'3"

If that kid pursues a football career, I'm sure he'll be successful. However, I don't think that kid is going to live a very long life. Anomalies like that are usually not very healthy.

WTF that kid is huge!

Actually, I think he just looks overweight. Look at his arms and legs - not much muscle development there, just excess. And all that padding....

My cousin repeated 7th grade three times and when asked by a teacher he replied "once I find a grade I like I stick with it". Good times, good times.

Kids huge, he'll be getting looks for a long time coming. Hopefully he has the work ethic to go with the size.

As for health - it depends on how much he grows from here on out. 6'6" is not that strange, he may have hit a hellova spurt and no more for him. You'd think he'd get bigger but never know.

Are there rules about what positions he can play due to his size?

Good question - in youth football here the bigger kids who don't meet weight have to wear taped up helmets and only play line. In high school though (modified) they can play anywhere. Goal line FB if not!
