I just got mine and I am going to shoot some important events tomorrow and don't have much time to play around with it. Also what are good settings for maximum dof and still keep good sharpness? I know there is alot of variables but I am looking for any help or comments! Thanks ahead of time for all replies.

I mostly shoot wide open or sometimes at F4. My website has loads of pics with this lens, look at the Kylie shots in the featured section, most are F2.8 or F4.
