If we're talking about the same guy in India, you were lucky, as many have been, but it doesn't change my awful experience. Never again will I buy from India. And I was persuaded to leave a positive feedback ("Honest seller...") in return for compensation. The compensation never arrived! I still have the faulty item.

Well as with everything on ebay it comes with a risk involved, especially if your not dealing with authorized dealers (offically acknowledge and listed as such by the manufacturer.)

While many times the price is alot more attractive, the risk involved for getting damaged goods or even not the same item(s) that you would if you bought it from a trusted dealer online or locally is real.

For instances, every rotaluxbox sold today from offical authorized dealers (at least in EU) comes with a rotalux carrying bag, not just the cardboard box. Most people selling "new" rotalux boxes on ebay does not include that bag...

As for [Godfather] and Supremekey, i cant really comment. I do however have a transaction pending with [Godfather] and time will tell if it was worth the risk or not.

Regards
Paul L.

The man has shipped twice to me and he was good. If people face problems with him such as delays in shipping its mostly because of the way business operates in India (lack of solid standards) and not this particular seller.

In fact that's what I think is behind Elinchrom's build quality problems. By manufacturing in India they save so much on labor and operating costs but they lock them selves to a very limited manufacturing and logistics capacity. Too bad those savings are not reflected in their prices world wide.

yes there is, and I think because they figured they can milk the American market versus the Indian market. Though, now with the new TI line you have pretty much everything the FX line offers except remote power adjustment.

And except the main reason I want this FX series, the poor build quality of the dovetail housing/stand mount on the D-Lites!

I've dealt with godfather, whilst the transaction never eventuated (long delay on availability) I did get a prompt refund and communication was great.

I just wish he could put more stuff on his site. ;)

Sir, I have just listed those items which are available 'Most of the Time' and which people buys more than often. Other items can be made available on orders.

Oh wow, I didnt even realize he was selling this stuff and shipping it to America! That pretty cool, but for almost $500 shipped for the FX400Ri, Id rather just spend $80 more and get another 500BXRi from Amazon.com. Nice that he has made this stuff available to all though!

Amazon has the 500BXRi for $580?! I've looked everywhere, including Amazon, and the cheapest I can find for a 500BXRi is $617 + shipping.

Not to mention ALL retailers are out of stock because Bogen Imagine is out of them. There are no 500BXRi anywhere you look. Believe me. LOL.

UPDATE:

From Amazon... this is what I get.

Items: $586.43
Shipping & Handling: $9.12
Super Saver Discount: -$9.12

Total Before Tax: $586.43
Estimated Tax: $52.05
Order Total: $638.48

I understand that tax is different for all of us, but for me Amazon is actually more expensive that other retailers. :(

OH NO!!! That sucks, yea no tax and free shipping from amazon for me. Hence why I ordered my 500BXRi from them.

This is where I would buy my 500BXRi. The only problem is that the entire USA seems to be out of stock!
