I wouldn't say uesless, you could use it as a large rim/sidelight without the front diffuser ;)

I've tried that with my two 24" boxes and you're right, it does come in handy for situations like that. But then now I'd have 4 of them that are around the same size. LOL. I'm going to be rim lighting the hell out of everyone with their faces and bodies underexposed. :o

I just have one other octa and I don't even know the size. :o

Well if I had a need I'd buy one. How much are you chasing anyway?

For the two, $190 shipped or $100 shipped each. I'll put it up on the FS once the package comes.

The guy says they're brand new and from the pictures he sent me, I'd have to say he didn't lie. Even the strobes are still wrapped up. It looks like he bought the kit to keep the Manfrotto stands and stand bag? Lol.

Sean - No worries. Given all the talk here about 500s being out of stock, I was surprised they didn't sell quicker. Congrats, think you'll like them.

I know I will. Thanks. I was really lucky you linked me to it. I was getting really antsy having no monolights. I think it would have sold sooner if I didn't jump on it. It was only a day old.

Nice set, you'll be very happy - the remote control of power is such a convenience compared to the D-Lites.
