i tried to salvage a shot with some localized processing of the hair. The hair no longer ruins the shot in my opinion, but don't know if i like color or not. What are your thoughts? any other thoughts on what i should do with processing are appreciated, too. perhaps i might throw up the shot out of camera to give you an idea of what i had to work with.

You could make everything B&W except the Axe, his attention is on it and it will focus the viewer's that direction as well. Just a thought (something I don't have often as the Hard Drive crashes randomly)

i ended up going with the full color version, mostly due to the fact there was four distinctly different colors of light in each quadrant which i think is pretty cool.

I like the B/W and the subtle color. I am a huge fan at suggesting color without blowing the viewer out of the water with color. I often will take a color image and add a B/W filter and use opacity to just slightly render color into the scene. Combined with split tone printing one might be surprised at what happens to a sunset or any other subject.

I love the first color picture, but it might not go with the type of music they play.

And that is why we all see through different eye's. We all like what we see (most of the time) but, there are times when for this reason or that - we like it just a bit that way or this. That's what clients look for,, someone that is producing something that touches their Minds Eye, for that given moment. If we all were the same, Life would Be so dull...
