I cannot figure out how to get my Epson 2880 to recognize a new ICC color profile I just downloaded from Ilford. Of course, Epson customer support isn't opened on the weekend. I know I downloaded it. I am using photoshop elements 4.0 to print.

I've search the internet and this site for an easy answer but haven't found it.

Thanks
Brad

Brad,

If you are not too embarrassed to tell us, what was wrong?

As another 2880 owner and capable of messing up in all sorts of ways, it might be useful for future reference.

I do know that DPP needs special address info on profiles which my custom made profiles don't have. The 2880 driver seems to perfectly happy with pretty well anything via Photoshop.

Not embarrassed at all. When I downloaded the profile from Ilford, I did not drag it into system/library/colorsync/profile folder. Once I did that, it popped right up in the printer dialog box and let me choose it.

ps. GOOD Scotch.

I used to resort to Ukrainian vodka when I needed inspiration... Nowadays it's strong espresso with Sambucca in a 1:1 ratio.

Hennessy Cognac for me, personally. But like our tastes in art, we all differ! ;)
