35mm 1.4 L or 24-70mm 2.8 L ?
Which of these two lences is better for general porpose use? And which is good for products shotting?

Much more versatile because it's a zoom (and a very good quality one at that!). For product shots, you'll want to stop down to at least f8 or more anyway, so there's no point getting a fast lens like the 35mm f1.4 since you won't be using it wide open. It's also probably less prone to flare than is the zoom, and may yield slightly lower distortion figures. And which is good for products shotting? Sometimes for me composition has to do with a certain brightness or a certain coming to restness and other times it has to do with funny mistakes.
