Hoppy 1, you're right. I probably did take it too personally. I was having a bad day at that point as my wife and I had just realized that our refrigerator had gone on the blink, this happening on Thanksgiving Day with our icebox and freezer full of food much of which we ended up having to throw out (this including most of the turkey of which we ate as much as we could before dumping the half eaten carcass into the trash. Maybe I was suffering from triptomine poisoning from eating too much of the bird!)

Now, we are faced with something we really need, a new icebox. A RRS Versa 33 maybe not so much...but I still want it.

So, off to Home Depot and Sears to test the premise that shoppers can actually save money on Black Friday.

Refrigerators are over-rated? tell that to my wife. She actually accompanied me to Home Depot where we got a new one, this time with no water and ice dispenser on the door, just a basic model from Maytag. I figure that simply means less stuff to break. Sort of like the Versa 33 tripod - clean simple lines well-engineered for the ham-handed among us. https://photography-on-the.net …smilies/icon_confused.gif

I think we should all be more honest about why we buy the stuff we do. ............... All of which fills a very important emotional need.
