Does Canon ever do rebates for bodies only for their winter rebates?

I don't qualify for the loyalty rebate because I never registered my XSi before the 12th:mad:

Funny thing is, the price probably won't go back down after the rebate period is over. So maybe the rebate is "your last chance at the old price".

Well said.. I think thats exactly it.

So is it worth waiting for the rebates or should I just buy now?

Yesterday the 24-70L was $1249 at amazon, today it is at $1307.55. I'm suspecting that tomorrow the Canon rebates will be released including the $50 rebate for the 24-70L. :(

Amazon 24-70L
--------------
10/19 - $1249
10/20 - $1307.55
10/21 - $1288.88
10/22 - $1379 - $80 Rebate = $1299

Amazon Blows.

You have to make sure of the actual seller on Amazon. Sometimes it's Amazon and sometimes it's a third party. But Amazon does play with their prices WAY too much IMO.

On a brighter note, I just picked up a 70-200 f/2.8 IS + B+W 77mm UV Haze 010 (MRC), B+W 77mm Kaeseman Circular Polarizing Multi-Resistant Coating (MRC) (Slim) and a Canon 1.4x EF Extender II for $2K and some change. :) The rebate helped me for this purchase.

It was $1221 from Amazon, not a third party, at least twice this week that I saw. I'm kicking myself for not buying it.

Do what I did, rip off a nasty email. You won't get a response, but you will get pleasure out of it. I promise you that. No cursing though, keep it very political.
