Hey Guys & Gals,

Just bought my new 35mm f/1.4 lens yesterday with everyone's input and help https://photography-on-the.net …760282&highlight=portrait and unfortunately it's been raining here in DFW like crazy. But I did managed to take a couple of quick shots tonight despite of the rain.

I really love how fast it focus compared to my 100mm f/2.8 and it's amazingly sharp. I'm sorry I don't have any interesting subject, but here are a couple of pictures I took with my new lens.

Thanks for letting me share. :)

You will love it, Dave.

Thank you, Jojo. Oh, I used my 10-20mm last night too. My first night shot of the city and first night shot. :D

(actually no not really, it's kind of stupid what happened actually)...ive only had it about 2 days and with the weather all crappy in chicago, it's been difficult to take it out for a good shoot...but i can tell it's just an AWESOME lens. i can take pictures in the dark! =X

I remember you asking for some lens suggestions a couple weeks ago, glad you were able to decide. :) I recall you used a 50 for some of your portraiture work, and you're on a crop body. Do you find the 35mm length a better fit for you (56mm equivalent now, right?).

Those are better test shots than I ever took. lol

Congrats Laura! I recently picked up this lens as well and I've been amazed with what it produces.

I got urkelshredder's extra 35L, waiting for it to arrive. I can't wait to put it through it's paces. It looks like the perfect lens.

I am glad that you are enjoying the lens. If you love this lens 35L, you'll be IN LOVE with the 85L 1.2 MK2. Anyway, the 85L is just a phone call away. :)
