Hi Geoff,

Taming the hot spot is great and I do use deflectors quite a bit but mostly with the beauty dish and strip boxes. The beauty of using a large modifier is that you don't have to point the center of the modifier at the person's face or the center of the body and in fact you get better results when you aim the hot spot past the nose and towards the fill side. I find this helps open up the fill side and gives me more even lighting without the intense hot spot.

I see what you mean about taming the hot spot, but all the same I think it's a great shot and I like the color of the seamless paper too. :)

How about using multiple strobes aesthetically and functionally.....

LOVE this shot! It would be even better if the guy kneeling on the right was "armed" as well. Great concept though...

Hmm ok, same concept but less to work with.

Is there a particular reason you used a 9" x 36" strip for the main light?

was hoping to create more drama on her abs. I could have used my 24x36 rectangular gridded box, but I was feeling adventurous.

Great freaking concept, and well executed!

If I had something to say for improvement, it's that the "victim" should actually be running - there would likely be more urgency in his face, and motion in all of him, that would lend itself to a more dramatic shot.

It looks like he's standing like a mannequin, and trying to make that face.

Nice work, but the whites of the eyes look overworked. (If they're not - WEIRD! :-)

I don't think I touched the eyes, but now that you mentioned it they do look kinda funky.

Hehe when I pulled down the blue saturation slider in ACR it make the eye go funky. I will have to fix that thanks for looking out.
