i really like the last one however the first is way to processed for me, it doesn't look natural, it looks a bit too painted on. The last one looks clean and crisp, much more realistic.

Thank you for your comments. Now that I look at it again, you are right. Weird how one moment it looks great to you, then 5 minutes later it looks completely different than what you first edited lol. I will try and go back and see what I did wrong to that one. The rest of the set are just normal color corrections and skin touch ups. I wanted to try some new PP but still learning :)

Its a good start if you want to learn more about touching up faces, i believe there are a few good tuts on youtube, but your better to find something on lynda.com

I think they would both look better if all of the baby was in focus.

one speed light was on top of camera to help autofocus because it was completely dark

lighting was 3 lights

2 speed lights rear kickers @ 1/3 power
1 AB1600 with 60inch softlighter for main key light @ 1/3 power

What do you think of this? I have to say for artistic reasons i like the blurred one but as a simple portrait i like this one more, so did the mother, lol!

^^ agreed, the other one had a cool 3D feel to it but this has a much more natural feel to it which is nice
