Some of us don’t get the chance to shoot tasty models, but someone’s got to take reasonable pictures of second hand goods for sale on eBay and the like, so…

24” softbox on a boom above with a 200ws head at 2/3rds power
200ws head with standard reflector & barn-doors 1/8th power, behind the table onto a white reflector under the light table
200ws head with Fresnel at full power but the internal iris closed right down, just to bring up the labels and add a minimal touch of highlight.

Jobv2,
looks a bit like the background was spilling onto the subject... if intentional, I like the look!
(If not intentional, I still like the look! (its just very noticeable).

love the capture!

As I said in the explanation, unfortunately yes it was spilling, this was my first attempt at white seamless and i was struggling to control bounce, unfortunately my house is painted a very pale colour lol

Doug contacted me, wanted to do some shots showing his love for fine cigars. So we met up downtown Kalamazoo and found a cool alley to shoot in. This is more of an outtake shot than anything, I just posted it before I leave for Tampa, Florida tomorrow, to show some work before I disappear for a couple days.

Hi all - haven't posted in quite a while. In fact this is my first shoot in over a year's time due to dad's illness, but this is Nikki and when she visited last weekend we decided to do a quick shoot together. I'm a bit rusty at headshots, but it was sure great to play with the gear again. Two Genesis lights plus reflector. (Ran her down to our local MAC cosmetics store for the makeup.)

Great to be back!

Are these all background replacement, Scott? If so - simply amazing work. Excellent blend of lighting and background selection. My only negative is how they hold the guns - and not from a safety standpoint. The first image looks as though they are afraid of the weapon - but the second image is precisely what I'd like to see for handling.
