EXIF Help

Hi All,

I don't know if this is an EXIF issue or not.

I have an SX10IS.

Now, when I open an image on Zoombrowser EX,
the EXIF data show only the following:

Shooting Mode
Tv (Shutter Speed)
Av (Aperture Value)
Exposure Compensation
Focal Length
White Balance

However, before, I got a lot more information like:

My color Settings
Flash (fired or not)
and many others.

Did I do some settings wrong in camera?
Or, how do I get these other information back?

Are these the files straight out of the camera, or files you've edited later? What mode were they taken in?

Jon, thanks for the reply. Yes the images I tested were
straight from the camera,transfered to comp via
the resident card reader & saved in My Pictures folder.
I was testing which My Color setting looked better.
Shot in Av, 4.0, ISO 200 in My Colors
Off, Vivid, Neutral, Positive Film & Custom with Contrast +1,
Saturation 0, & Sharpness +2. This is when I noticed that
the EXIF were not complete when I looked at each image.

So, I went back to view old images that I was sure gave the complete
EXIF before , but they too came up with the shortened list.
Viewed all images on Zoombrowser, Picasa & Faststone, all came out with the same result.

I'll try to post. This will be my first time posting images.
I will have to read the instructions first.
I deleted my most current test images, but i'll try to post
the ones I knew had the full EXIF.

ZB 6.3.1 shows them both as Custom Color and gives Sharpness, Saturation, Contrast, etc. So it's there. What version of ZB are you using? Some of those values are Canon-specific and won't show in some third-party applications.

Thank you for taking the time to assist me.

Originally, I used the ZB from the disk that came with the camera.
Then I downloaded the update from Canon site under the G11 driver.
I think it's the ZB 6.3.1.

Then when I first noticed that the EXIF was not complete, I thought
it was because of my update and decided to uninstall the whole ZB program.

I then re-installed the ZB program using the disk only. This version gave
the full EXIF before. But as of today, the EXIF was still the short version. What do you think I should do next? I'm using Vista Home Premium.

I don't see anything in ZB that would keep you from seeing the full EXIF. You looking at "Properties" as you'll see in Preview, Scroll or Zoom mode, or at the medium grey window you get when you select a specific photo?

Hi Jon,

What I did before on ZB was open the image from the thumbnails then click the button on top that says "Show" and the EXIF will be shown on my right hand side of the image in the medium grey window. It used to show full EXIF.
I do the same now, and it only shows the short version.

I don't know any other way to display the EXIF.

Go into any of the Zoom, Scroll, or Preview tabs for folder views, choose the image and then "Properties".

PS. I went to visit my sis-in-law in Glen Burnie last year and got to see
