Hello,

This is my son William. I found some nice morning light and thought I would give my 350D a little workout. I did use several actions to help with post processing. My wife has mixed reviews on the images. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Cute kid , but the background is too bright. Maybe the same poses but on a blanket out in the garden would provide better contrast.

These images were taken on auto and the ISO selected is 1600. No idea why but they are washed out (if not blown out) in the face area. Color seems a little off too. In that light I would shoot P mode (it's still automatic), partial metering on the face with ISO at 100-200 max. Focus on the eyes. Cute baby who will provide you plenty of opportunity for some more shots.

Very nice! He looks a little yellow to me but that's easily fixable. You have a gorgeous subject!!

Thanks for the feedback. It's very good to hear. I didn't realize the camera was set to 1600 ISO until after the shots were taken. I'm learning to check everything before I touch the shutter...

Thanks again!

Beautiful baby. Nice photos. Maybe next time try at a different angle. Try squatting down or even lying down and shoot from lower angle.

Nice kid, and fun hat. In no1 there might be a little smile that you can get next time by getting at eye level with the subject (which of course brings a lot more stuff into the background that can distract...)

Thanks for all of the suggestions. They are being very well received. I do have a great subject with my son and he loves the camera.
