was getting the Err 99 from my Sigma lense

I just have to say. I love you guys -- ppl from this Forum. Last week when I was in Puerto Rico on a wedding photo assignment. I wanted to use my fisheye len to capture everyone. (it was a beach ceremony). When I put the lense onto the camera, I got myself the Err 99 error. I dont remember seeing that error when I first got the camera testing that fisheye lense. Oh its a sigma 15mm fisheye. anyway, after coming home and reading the board... I found out that I can mail it back to Sigma for a free re-chip to make it work w/ digital camera. I shipped the lense out on Tuesday, 5/24 using USPS... and today the lense came back (FEDEX). and it worked. YAY!! now thats FAST service. maybe because I live in NYC and the manufacture was only 30 miles from my house. But still thats FAST service. anyway, I just wanted to tell someone. YAY!!!!

I've had 2 Sigma lenses that wouldn't work with my cameras in the past, so I steer clear of them now. They are good quality and cheaper than Canon, but as I change my camera more often than I change my socks I prefer to stick with lenses that I know will work with my latest and greatest!
