I am definately need to keep shooting and shoot more. I have been struggling with my 300 and 70-200 2.8.

It's amazing that when I used the Sigma's, I "just knew" what to set my camera at, now ... I could not even get it right at my home field.

PLUS - MY home team switched to BLACK on BLACK for the home uniforms. Maybe time to try flash again.

Going 500 longest side size - as I got cocky. I was looking at the pics in the camera viewer and thinking I was balls on! Not even close. Cocky me drops down to 1/250 at ISO 3200. (* all night photos are cropped with PP & noise ninja)

1. 1/200 why? must have slipped; f2.8; 300mm; ISO 3200

1/400; f2.8; 300mm; ex +0.40 ISO 1000 (hate high iso during the day!)

Vin, I am surprised you got what you did at those shutter speeds. Hate to say it but flash will probably be your friend if that's your ambient. The first few don't look bad at all and the color seems good. 4 does seem a bit yellow here but 5 and 6 seem a bit better.

JBH: thx, I liked #1 too. My problem is that I shoot video 8 of 10 jobs and photo 2 of 10. Wish I was at all photo :)

Scott: Thx. I was shocked because the viewscreen looked so sharp. just need to jump back on the horse. thx again.
