I think I'm improving, lol. Would like to hear some feedback from you guys.

#2 is blurry (motion) but #3 looks good.. sounds like I'm doing an eye exam! Obviously from the amount of light in the background your SS on 3 is faster than 2...#1 could use the face lightened maybe if you can keep it still looking natural.


EOS 7D Sigma 70-200 F2.8 (1.4 extender outdoors) are the workhorses. 50D for backup, EF 70-300MM USM f/4-5.6 IS, Freelance photographer for local newspapers and my website viewthroughmylens.net (external link)

I actually like the first one a lot. His face is a bit dark, but you can tell the determination on his face. Shows a lot of emotion.

Thanks guys. I really wish #2 would have turned out better, I really like seeing the scoreboard in the background.

and the horizion is crooked in #2. #3 would have been great if he was looking right at you.
