I guarantee you it has the ability to be much better.

What was your light source for these?

I have been using the old Eos 350D in the past, and it is able to get some great shots, no question about that.

The problem here is white balance, it is totally wrong, way off, pull these shots through post processing and I'm sure some of it can be saved, always shoot in RAW by the way so you can play around with much more depth of color than in jpg.

Next time close the hood ... always try to shoot a car with all doors, hoods, covers, windows and sunroofs closed, only on a convertible with the top down you can put the side windows down too, but otherwise keep everything closed for the shot.

Take another shot, position the camera lower to the ground and point 'up' to the car from a three quarter front angle ... I'm sure the shot will come out much stronger.

Mark

I think the 1st one with the hood closed would look much better.
And I like the warm look of the picture, I don't think you need to adjust your WB in these.

+1 on the warm look. I think it adds to the picture personally.

Thank you for the feedback. These shots are straight out of the camera, the only adjustment being the levels.

The light source were two security lights on my detached garage.

PhotosGuy: thanks for the links, I will have a look at your tutorials.

Here is another one, but one that I was not fond of:

If you add some basic reflectors you could really help out those shots.

the one with closed hood looks way better.

i think the composition works, you either need more flash or a reflector. buy a roll of tin foil and get some cardboard.

CC welcome.

Hey man,
The M looks good! I do like the pics with the hood open...always nice to see Mr. V8. Detailing helped the shoot! Lets meet up on the weekend and try more shots.
Cheers
