My guess is you are seeing the summer fur coat. My dogs look skinny right now as well. They shed just like domestic K-9's. Foxes are not that big normally but most see them with their winter pelts on which adds several inches to their girth. Rick

These guys are gorgeous animals. I actually saw one this morning I was deer hunting. He jumped out onto the gasline and pounced on a bird did a circle just like a dog with a toy in its mouth and stopped and looked at me like he was showing me his kill. If only I had my camera instead of my bow :( However I came preetty close to getting my buck.
