Any idea when Canon Corp will be coming out with their next lens rebates?

I moved this to Market Watch. It's really where this question belongs.

Usually, since there was an announcement of new gear, the company has to restock the stores before making new campaigns. We just finished one recently, so maybe not for a few more months, and the prices will not be close to what they were even before this last rebate. Just look at the 70-200 2.8 IS. It was $1699 when I bought it two yeas ago before the rebate, now you can't touch one under $1800.

My guess is soon as lens prices have crept up about equal to what the value of the rebate will be. :)

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point..
