My POTN time will be scarce the next 2 weeks...am working a 50 hour stretch starting tonight and no internet access at work. Then I am off to San Antonio for 4 days, home and back on for another 40 hour stretch of work. I am taking my laptop tonight (because I told them if I work tonight to help them out, I want to use my lap top in my down time) but I cannot use it during the busy week and we no longer have internet access at work. I will pop in when I get home in the mornings to say HI but that will be about it for a while.

We'll be grateful for whatever time you can give us.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

Have a safe trip Maureen, and we'll look forward to your return!

Poor Gail will have to keep TKWM's thread going all by herself ;)

Mo, you have been busy and sorry you can't come on during work. That stinks. If half of us had that restriction, the Mods would be in big trouble.

Mo,

Enjoy your trip. Enjoy some fine Mexican cuisine and a Margarita or two for me :)

I love my netbook because it lasts a long time on the battery. The stupid battery on my Toshiba runs out even when not in use. I have 2 batteries and they both run out. I'm going to complain to Toshiba today.

I had my first Fajitas in an Antonio, sitting in a restaurant directly across the street from the Alamo. I now have my own reason to remember the Alamo.

Suzie,

Sounds like your Toshiba batteries are NICAD and your NetBook are Lithium Ion?

Ha! Good one, Tom :)

I think that the San Antonio River Walk is one of the neatest places I have visited in America. Wonderful scenes and awesome food abound! A photo op at every turn.

The other thing I remember from that trip was our stay at the St. Anthony Hotel. What an unexpected pleasure to find a classy old place like that.....

As you might expect, the rooms were appropriate for the period of the hotel (built in 1909), and I really didn't mind. Sometimes it's good to be reminded of how things used to be.

San Antonio is a great place to go for food. Amost as good as New Orleans used to be.

Lots of great food in TX. I had the best brisket there.

Another reason to love the 85MM f/1.2 EF L...look at the focal plane in this photo...foreground and background are OOF and the couple is sharp :)
