If you didn't shoot RAW, it's a problem, Mo.

I just got home. Froze my whole body to do 3 quarters. Our home team did very badly. We were losing 42-14. I felt bad. I had to leave. My little fingers were getting way too cold. I'm still not warm yet.

Fixed is good. But sometime, you'll see the value of RAW. But I have to tell you guys what happened on the field. My friend, Carol, Jim's met her before. She has a Xti. She never shot manual before. So, I told her to try it. She did not know how to adjust the aperture. I had no idea as well, since all the cameras I've owned were not Rebels, all have 2 dials. Anyway, I had to call Jon in MD to help me. He knew what to do, that crazy smart man! And we got her shooting M now. She got some good shots. She never did do more than ISO and shutter speed. Now she's going to try it more.

Thanks, Jon. You're the best!

Mo, Get the Topaz filter plug in set at the link below. Does wonders for color balance and lots more. You can try them for 30 days before you buy :)

Elaine and I took Jenn and John to San Vito's fine Italian restaurant last night w/o the kiddies! Had a grand time...wonderful food. We had a bottle of red Zinfandal and I had baked ziti w/sausage for my meal...yum!

Suzie, hope you have warmed up by now...it was very cold last night!

Which considering I was sitting near Ann's computer (which has no reference materials on it) with a Peke in my lap, so unable to move to look it up, was little short of amazing.

Thanks Suzy.Hope your warmed up now. It is warmer over here but getting cold out to sea...but I actually can't wait to get back to VA and see some cold weather for once.

I shoot RAW...but out here since only having a mini laptop..I have to shoot in JPG in manual. The mini bless it's heart can't handle the larger files like my mac does....but they are still coming out really sharp, vivid and clear...so not complaining for now.

Jon, you are a Super Canon Man! I bow to your knowledge and power. :)

Jim, I miss you like crazy. Let's get together soon. Mo, too bad you're too far away to play, but sounds like you are having fun, even if you shoot only JPEG. :)

I am amazed you can come here with the large photo files, Adam!

Well, first of all, I only shoot Manual myself. The color balance wasn't from the photos...it was the difference between Photo Shop and my Windows viewer; each program saw the photos a bit differently. So i printed out one of each and realized the Windows viewer was what my printer reads. Problem solved!!

I have shot RAW and recently, I had a friend come practice along side of me shooting RAW. Then he gave me the photos on a disc. I growled at the RAW format through processing his photos and I quit before I saw them all. I HATE the RAW post processing.

Sounds like a great dinner. We went to Chilis last night... I love their Buffalo Chicken salad!

And yes, I do have the Topaz filters but I am not into to using them much. I really prefer Jodi Friedman's MCP Actions...... they are the best thing out there in my humble opinion, and much less expensive. I have tons of her stuff.

Thanks...I checked out Jodi's web page...she has lots of packages...which ones do you use? Which is your favorite? I'll give it a try.

Good Sunday, All!

Have to look at those. Thanks for sharing.

We went to the Harry Potter movie last night at the A&S IMAX in Chantilly. It was amazing. I cried in the first scene. And then afterwards, dinner at Red Robin. Yum. Great movie, delicious meal with friends.

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. Also, heard there will be 60 inches of snow in Nevada. Must be ski time!

I can't live without her eye doctor action and her free sharpening action. And the bag of tricks set is aMAZing!!! She also has a free facebook action on her facebook page. I've yet to load it but I'll get there. I use portraiture way more than magic skin but that's a great action too. Portraiture just has a few more bells and whistles and runs quicker for me.
