Hi, Jim & Tiff! It's quiet in the house, but I went to Costco to do some Christmas shopping. It was very fun to walk around for a while and then I got some errands done. Now I'm going to have a cookie. :)

They are continually keeping my life and house messy, but I love them. House was completely clean 2 weeks ago and the mess has made me crazy, but nothing will distract from the cookie making. I'm not even close to done yet.

I'm going shooting some more at the end of the week, though.

Hi, Jim. I'm not done yet, but I only have 3 more days to bake. 2 boxes in the mail so far.

.

Time you put those boys to work and gave them an HOUR of chores every Saturday. They have an awful lot...maybe if they don't do their work you can start taking away instead of giving to them ;)

Can you tell what kind of a mother I am? ;) My kids will tell you I drove a pretty hard bargain but I wanted them to grow up knowing that life isn't a free ride.

I think it's because I'm old this time around, don't have the energy to use the whip. I'm home, so I do more. But you know they respond to their Dad much better than to me, so it's never good when Ken's very busy, which he has been the last year. Their rooms are still clean from 2 weeks ago when we took everything out. I'm just trying to keep the instruments where they belong. They are having holiday concerts every few days and that means they dump everything in the living room. But you are right. I need to get them off the computers.

Yep, Santa in the attack :) This has been such a great year for us and we love to share with our family. Jimmy & Nicole are getting a new sofa and iPad. Kathy & Frank are getting a new Dell Inspiron 580 w/23" HD monitor, Jenn & John are getting cash (their request) plus I got John a certified RR watch, the grandkids (big ones) are getting cash and one small gift each, and the little grandkids are getting toys and clothes :-) Now for Elaine...what do you buy the woman who has everything? I have only found one gift so far.

She didn't want an ipad? ;)

I'm not getting anything until spring, a new kitchen island and double ovens. That's our big expense after the new furnace in the attic. My sons don't get nearly what they used to in volume, just in price. Everything is little but expensive. I didn't get Ken anything big this year. He never wants anything. He got a Kindle last year and a lot of other toys so he's set. He doesn't need much. Oh, I bought him a car, too, but that's not a gift, just the timing was around Christmas.

Suzie,

We are going to wait until the new iPad comes out so I can upgrade to the camera model. Elaine wants mine for email/Internet/kid games. Joe & Jules love my iPad and take it away from me every time they are at our house :-)

Yep, I'm waiting, too. I just have so many toys. I never have time to play with them.
