Greg getting his 2nd place trophy yesterday in the 24 Competition.

Jared winning 1st Place in 8th Grade.

It was exhausting, but well worth it.

Congratulations to Greg and Jared! Smart youngsters for sure...just like their Mom :)

Shucks! Thanks, Jim. I'm very proud. They are always doing fun things to keep me busy. Today soccer practice starts and I heard it was going to be 80 degrees later. We are all in shorts already. :) Can't wait.

Here are the shots we took last night when we drove to the Tidal Basin before the thunder storm came. It was packed, so we didn't park anywhere, just drove to Hains Point and the boys and Ken walked around. I had a stomach ache so I stayed in the car. I didn't have time to go today, so we all got into the car and drove to DC. Took 2 hours to get there, stop and shoot a little, and come home. Nice.

The thunder came around so we drove home. It was a really beautiful sunset except the clouds came before the sun went down.

Nice, Suzie :-) I'm thinking that I will "play hooky" Thursday or Friday and sneak back down to the Tidal basin for another go. This time with the 5D and the 24-70MM f/2.8 EF L!

7D question for you...do you use the ISO Automatic? I have found this to be a handy setting.

So I did my lash out charity event yesterday.

Our prices were $30 for just a fun eye and lashes and $60 for the full on funkiness. Today we raised $135 after meeting our costs. Not a lot but it'll buy the firemen beer for a while....so says fire chief hubster.

But, goodwill is goodwill, cash is cash and we got to create some buzz.

We have two more days of this planned....one already 100% booked.

Alena, sophomore

Tiff, stunning photos! I really like the first two! Colors are awesome. Do I see a ring flash reflected in their eyes? :)

Yep. Everyone but erica has the ring light. The ring light on her was not flattering at all....made her look way older for some reason. :(

Tiff, that's fantastic! Love the lighting for sure!

Jim, come out to play. We didn't have a choice since it was the only time we could go, all of us. Today we went to see "The King's Speech" since it was rated PG-13 due to not saying the you know what word more than 2 times. It was a truly wonderful movie, not too much spectacular, special effects, just talking, but so moving. My sons were impressed.

Mine is just starting. It got up to 85 today, and will be cold again tonight. Darn it!

Mo, getting ready for the wedding in HI? That's why you're working so many days?

Suzie, I just did a video Skype call on my iPad 2 with my brother in Atlanta! It works just great :)

The weatherman on NBC4 just said to go see the Blossoms today or wait to next year...big, bad storm tonight will blow them all away :(

It was awful today. I have a feeling there are a lot of pedals in the Basin today.
