Mo, those are just stunning. They look wonderful together. I caught the royal wedding on replay this morning. Sarah is in the delivery are waiting to get that baby out. She's shy about observers so I am not there. I am still at the hotel waiting for my son Dan to drive me to breakfast and then shopping. I won't see the baby until later. I will pass on th well wishes. I am on my iPad.

I'm with you, Tom. Elaine and I paid $5.00 to the Justice of the Peace and then held a reception at a fast food restaurant ;)

I made my dress, Skip wore an almost new suit and w made a luncheon for our guests. The whole affair was about $200 only because most of the guests were my family and you do remember what a large clan I come from! And boy, can they eat.

Ours was only slightly more ornate than that. We got married at the church where Mom was secretary, and dad was an elder. The service was conducted by Mom's boss, probably as a favor (I know I didn't pay him ) The reception was at my parents' home, and all the food was prepared by relatives. My Aunt Edith did the wedding cake.

I was getting ready to go overseas, and this was very much a last-minute thing. All the arrangements were made in about 48 hours. We were married on a Friday evening, and on Monday morning, I sailed for Japan for 6 months.

Skip's mom made our wedding cake and we had the reception at my sister's house. Hey, we were only engaged 5 weeks so we didn't have much time either and cetainly not time to order invitations or flowers :) We used blank note cards to hand write out the 12 invitations we sent :)

After 22 consecutive "No way", "Go on with you" and the like I finally wore her down. I figured we better wed quick before she came to her senses and changed her mind.

I just arrived home today, at 1:20, and went straight to a retirement party for my 2 son's 5th grade science teacher. I came home to shoot that because she's that special. Thirty seven years of teaching and many students later, she's a legend. I think I got a few good ones for her.

Here are a few pictures. I went to UT to see my sister win the Mother of the Year Award for NY, and ended up getting a granddaughter and spending loads of time with my sons and my sisters. It was a wonderful 4 days, and I hated leaving, but I love my 3 guys here, and soon, we'll all go west to see the little addition. Yes, they are calling me "Nai Nai" which is paternal grandmother in Mandarin.

She leads with her tongue.

I have more, but they are on my iPhone. :)

Good luck, Jeff!

Jim, Tom, Mo: I paid about $2000 all together for my wedding, including a reception for 200+ people, a dress, a cake and a bookshelf. :) And a short honeymoon and fixing our broken car. That was almost 29 years ago. May 1, May Day, was the day we announced to the world that we were an item 30 years ago. What a wonderful 30 years we've had together. I can't say this enough, I am very blessed.
