Ok.... I won't tell you anything ;)
Last day here... We are off to see the Waldorf Astoria, then to Serendipity for frozen hot chocolate ( cuz our eldest daughter told us to) then to see Jersey Boys tonight. We leave for the airport at 0300 for home so we will be in Cali before noon. Missing my grandkids so I am ready to go home. But If I had the time I would stay another week. So much to see/do.

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

I'm glad you had a good trip. I love NYC. I want to get there this summer for some fun as well. Maybe that will be our vacation as our time is really tight. Safe trip home!

Mo, glad you and Skip are enjoying NYC. It is my favorite place to visit! Did you get to Juniors in Brooklyn for some awesome cheesecake?

Good morning, Suzie...are you enjoying the beautiful spring weather we are having? Unfortunately rain is forecast for the Saturday wedding in Hagerstown, MD :( Looks like the outdoor event will become an indoor event.

Not sure if that is a 100%, Jim. The reception I'm attending is indoors, I'm pretty sure. It's formal, so I am dressing up. :)

Brittany came over last night to tell me the battery was low on the 5D2, so I gave her 2 spares. She's funny. Canon repair in Norfolk said the mirror falling out is a free fix. So she sent it in yesterday and hopefully, will get it back by Friday. :) Great news for me. She may not get it Friday, but Monday, and that's okay. I just want to take it with me to UT.

I have never heard of a mirror falling out? Good thing they will fix it for free!

I am loving my 7D...so fast and so sharp! It and the 17-55MM f/2.8 EF-S IS are a perfect combo!

Seems to happen for some reason in the 5Ds.

I knew that, but while I had the 5D, it didn't happen. So the fact that poor Brittany uses it so much more than I used it, makes sense it finally came out. She'll be happy with Canon Service Center Norfolk. They usually make the camera good as new.

Home, exhausted, already had Nicholas overnight and both boys here now; throw my sister's 2 yr. old granddaughter into the mix tomorrow and I will be on toddler overload.
We had a wonderful trip with no glitches and beautiful weather too.
Next weekend is the wedding reception, then I will be able to breathe a bit.

Suzie,

I have used the NJ Repair Center a couple of times and got outstanding results. I'm about ready to send in my 5D for a tuneup :)

I love the NJ one, but the Norfolk one is actually faster, less workload, I think. I have used both. They are excellent. I may need my 24-70 recalibrated again.

Suzie,

I'll try the Norfolk site...it is closer. How are you today? Looks like we are going to get some rain for sure overnight?

Elaine and I got my granddaughter a 64GB 3G/WiFi iPad2 for her college graduation gift. Her Mom & Dad are getting her a Tom Bihn bag to go with it :-)

Nice. When are you adopting my family, Jim? :)

We sure spoil all the kids, it's true. Greg is turning 12 in August and I'm giving him my 32GB iPod Touch which is only 2 years old and has not been used much since I got my iPhone. Jared has my old Droid, but will probably get a new phone next year. I told him if he got straight "A's" in his freshman year at TJ, he gets an iPhone. He may inherit my Kindle when he starts school in September because his books are usually huge and can't fit in his backpack. We're toying with letting him borrow one of my netbooks for school on the days he needs a laptop to do work. His school is really into the technology stuff, so I'm leaning toward letting him have the netbook when he needs it.

Yes, it's raining, and I'm hoping your wedding works out anyway, Jim. My friend's daughter is getting married at the temple this morning, right now, and Brittany is doing that shoot with my 5D2 and 24-70. I hope she's not too wet. I'll see her tonight at the reception. We have soccer today so I'm off for that right now with my 7D and 70-200.

Oh, I took my Sienna to the dealership yesterday with the trunk door not staying open and my driver's side door making a terrible cracking sound when I open and close it. $1000 later in repairs, I get it back on Monday. They let me have a RAV4 to drive for the 3 days and it's nice, but I miss my roomy minivan. :(
