Adam, let us know when you're around. Who knows if I'm free. Jim, I'll be going up to TJ a lot starting in September and that is a stone's throw from you. I'm thinking about selling some equipment to fund a new lens or something. With all the expenses I have for the kitchen and plane tickets, I'm getting low on my fun money.

Hey now: The kitchen is just as important. SO did you decide on which one to go with yet for the design?

You've got to do with what you've got! Mo, great shots. Love the views. I miss NY"C. :(

Jim, miss you. Glad you had a good wedding to shoot. I'm exhausted. Got my 70-200 f4 back from Carol tonight. Hope to get my 5D2 back. Anyone know which plug in is the one for the 5D2 for PS? Poor Brittany couldn't see any of the images in RAW last night and remembered she hadn't gotten the plug in or upgraded her PS. I told her I just bought Elements 8 recently and it was already in it. No plug in necessary. it's around $80 now. She should be fine.

I'm hoping my week is slower than my weekend.

Adobe Camera Raw . . .

We are rainy here as well and chilly! Feels like Feb. instead of May. I hope my summer flowers survive the weather and are still beautiful for this weekend.

The system we had intensified for you Jim. Sorry to see that - I sure miss my beautiful sunny blue sky days in Wyoming after being out "east" for 5 months. I head home next Thursday so I definitely look forward to seeing more sunshine soon. I'm also ready for the wind and the possibility of another late snow, but ya know - I'll be home so that's okay! This has been a good trip overall. I interviewed for two full time guard jobs two weeks ago and was notified about the first yesterday - and now I hope the second has my name on it and they're just messing with my head. Otherwise I'll more than likely ask to deploy because jobs are tough to come by in Cheyenne that pay anything over $10/hr (Less than half of what I currently make). At any rate I know I have been absent from here for a while now... Haven't really been taking any photos minus the waterfall shot I grabbed last week when the weather was nice for a change.

Looks like you're all staying busy too so that's good I suppose ;) Talk with you all soon.

Life goes on, unfortunately. Glad you're safely home, though.

Rain. Yes, I got caught in it while getting my Sienna from the dealership last night. Radio weather man said not to go out with buckets coming down in a thunderstorm warning. Well, too late. I was already in the tin-can dealership with rain hitting the roof so hard, I couldn't hear I had to pay $900 for the repairs. :( Anyway, drove 10 miles home, hydroplaning most of the way. Couldn't see more than 50 ft in front of me. Thank goodness for rear lights on the cars in front and good wipers. We got about a mile to our house and it was almost dry. It was definitely north of us that the storm really got bad. The lightning came so close, we felt the ground grumble each time it hit. So, this morning, I see something sticking out of my tire and decided to take a look. It was a nail and I had a flat. Good thing it didn't happen while I was getting home last night. I felt my sons were praying for us all the way home.

The AAA guy came, very nice. He knew exactly what to do. The spare is under the middle passenger seats. Who knew? In 7 years, I never had a flat. He got the spare on, but bag new, the flat tire had the nail toward the side, so he said he doubts it will be good to fix. So, it's official, my poor 7 year old car is costing more than buying a new one.

Sorry about your car troubles, Suzie. But in the long haul a few repairs beats a monthly car payment anytime :) Elaine's Sienna is 7 years old. We have replaced one front door and the electric sliding door...fortunately the warranty covered both repairs. She has 130K miles on it and loves it!

I rented a RAV4 for 4 days and it was fine, but nothing rides like the Sienna. It's a smooth, comfy ride and I haul everything in the back. Yes, mine is 7 years old as well and all paid for. Makes life so much easier to have good cars. What happened to her front door? Because one of the connections on the door came off the hinges and it had to be replaced and reconnected, costing $500 in labor alone. Now it works great. The rear door hydrollics (sp.) connectors failed and needed to be completely replaced. The door did not stay open. Now the engine is tuned, doors working, and tire will be fixed later. :)

She had a broken hinge and it was an integral part of the door. So, they installed a new one...the paint does match very well but we really don't care as long as everything works...I had bought the extended warranty for her car and this door issue came up two months before it was out...we were very lucky :-)

I think it was the same problem. Did it make a terrible grinding noise when she shut and open the door, like metal was being popped out of place?

That's it. And it would not close flush with the body of the car...like it misaligned.
