I am not slowing down at all..... I bet I shoot 500 photos a week at the minimum. With a new grandbaby on the horizon, there will be lots more to shoot soon :)
I never had grips and I cannot fathom photography without my 24-70mm lens on the 5DII :)
We are about to go out frog hunting.... me & the boys. Wish us luck!!

Mo is to the 24-70MM f/2.8 EF L as Jim is to the 17-55MM f/2.8 EF-S IS

I wouldn't even attempt a wedding or similar event without my 17-55MM :)

I am excited about getting the Sigma 30MM f/1.4 re-calibrated and mounted on my 7D...I'm thinking that it will be a perfect "street" rig.

As for grips...they are over rated I have come to learn. Adds weight & bulk and I have never come close to exhausting a fully charged battery. At the Hilton Island wedding I shot over 1000 photos and still had 75% on both batteries in the grip (the menu item for battery percent left is a really great feature in the 7D).

If you see where I am heading here...I'm trying to shed weight from my gear where it is unnecessary. I had my 30D (no grip) with the 10-22MM UWA out the other day and I was amazed at how light it was :-)

Jim -- I keep the Leica D-Lux 7 in the Glove Box just in case!

I just want to say that the last day of school is always fun. I'm excited as my boys are doing so well in school. I just found out that Jared got a perfect score on his Algebra 2 SOL and I will be tutoring him over the summer to opt out of precalculus so he can go straight in to AP BC Calculus as a sophomore. I'm tired already. Here's to brushing up on my math again. Wish me luck.

Be proud, Suzie! You have some wonderful young men there! :-)

I am impressed that you are tutoring calculus! It was a tough, tough set of courses when I was in college...I made straight A's but I invested a lot of time doing so :-)

Jim, I haven't done derivatives in 30 years, so there is a lot to learn on all levels. :) But I'm up to the long summer.

Just came home from our celebratory lunch. :) Chinese, of course.

Suzie, that doesn't surprise me about Jared... or you. I saw how much you work with your kids. You guys are all blessed with brilliant brains:)

I had Aaron, Nick, Jayda and her big brother Tyson today. Whew! Now just Nick until this evening.

We didn't catch any frogs last night but we had an adventurous evening walk along Mill Creek Nature path with flashlights.
Am looking forward to a quiet weekend then back into the throes on Monday :) It is 102-105 degrees here until Tuesday so pool time!!

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

Thanks, Mo. I absolutely love being the mom of 4 amazing sons and they make me proud everyday. I'm always worrying about them, but there is nothing one can do after they have wings, so I have to make sure their wings are strong and honest.

Suzie - all I get is a notice from Xfinity that they aren't capable of handling standard HTML, so I need to be running one of their pet browsers. Sounds like I'll be avoiding them even though I have a seriously low opinion of Verizon.

Here is the picture of the winning team. Lighting was horrible on the stage as no one knew how to get the spot lights to work, so I had to use my flash. I was also standing on the ground while the team was on a stage.

Happy Father's Day! Just gave the new iPad to the father in the house and he noticed it didn't have any battery power. I didn't want to take it out of the box before today, so it's charging. He'll love it later.

Happy father's Day to all you dads :)
Skip & Ryan are out at the shooting range with Aaron playing with guns...... Later we might go swimming at my sisters but it is sooo hot today.... 105!!!!!!
Yesterday I spent 4+ hours shampooing all the carpets in my mother-in-law's house. Then I told Skip "Happy Father's Day".

Yeah, slave labor! You are a trooper, my dear.

Happy Father's Day to your men over in the West. Jim, nice gift! Ken is going to play with his new toy when dinner is over. Still wanting the Yankees to lose. That's what he really wanted.

I'm with you all on the Yankees, but they can play awesome baseball. They sure put the Nats in their place this weekend ;-)a

Happy Father's Day to Skip :-)
