That's so awful. Maybe it's time to get a better lawyer. I know that's stupid, but sometimes you need that.

I don't think a different lawyer would have made a difference. The judge was against Ryan in the first place because he had the temerity to enter his courtroom with only facts and no lawyer. Ryan want to present facts and the judge, who of course is just a lawyer in a funny black dress, wanted to follow legal procedure. The judge also predisposed to dislike "right of first refusal" in custody matters (I don't like them either).

We no longer have a Justice system, we have a legal system. Our son is having a tough time coming to terms with that.

It's so true, Skip. But my husband is a lawyer, but doesn't deal with the justice system, he just manages other lawyers to do the work and report to him. It's his job to know the law and how to interpret it. He does international stuff mostly. My son is going into family law, which is what we are talking about here and I don't understand how anyone can do this for a living and sleep at night. Families' lives depend on how good they do their jobs. In these cases, I think the kids suffer the most.

Good Morning, All.

Elaine had a fantastic visit with her Neurologist on Tuesday evening. she passed all her tests for motor control and she got permission to drive again :-) She is going to six weeks of physical therapy to strengthen her left leg some more and then back for a follow up visit to her doctor.

I bought her a fancy walking stick to use for her balance...found an awesome web site that sells canes and walking sticks. We threw away the ugly "institutional" model the hospital gave her. The one I bought her has a oak wooded handle and is covered with cats and flowers :-) She is now fashionably dressed for a walk!

Suzie, I'm going to pass on the Cherry Blossoms this weekend...not certain that they even will be out? It was 28 degrees driving in this morning! When will Spring get here?

I can't this weekend. I was thinking Thursday next week. I'm really busy.

I still don't have the filter off the 24-70. Darn.

Busy.

Great to hear Elaine is better. And the new cane sounds wonderful. We need pictures.

Luckily Aaron is not a baby anymore & has a voice. He will be fine because he has so many people who care about him. Part of the judgement was that I get to pick him up from school on her work days/week. Aaron requested it when he talked to the mediator. :)

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

Oh, that's good, Mo. Just that the mother always has the judge's ear. Love of a mother . . . . you know.

Very cute shot, Mo.

Elaine continues to do exceedingly well :-) This weekend Jimmy, Nicole, and Nate are coming to visit for three days :-) Jimmy wanted to check up on his Mom. He is a good son :-)

Didn't make it to DC this for the blossoms this week. I'm too busy. We have dinner in DC this Saturday, so maybe a few left then. I am really sad, but life is busy and good. Must give some things up this time.

Thunderstorms this morning, so nice to get the green pollen out of the air. But I fear, the blossoms are all gone now.

Happy Friday, anyway! And my friend, Melanie, took all the glass from the filter off the filter, so at least I can use my 24-70. And it works fine. Thank heavens. The ring will never come off, I fear.

Having a ball with Nate, Nicole, and Jimmy this weekend. Here is a cute picture of Nate with Elaine holding him and wearing his grandpa's cap.

Grandbabies are the best! Elaine looks like she's enjoying the baby. How is she feeling?
