So...Is 50mm on full frame worth getting with the 85mm already in the bag?

I loved the sigma 30mm on my 30d. Moving to full-frame now, so I am debating on wether to just stick with the same FOV and rock the 50mm f1.4 on the 5D. But then again, maybe just go with the 28mm, since I already have the 85mm and maybe it is close enough to the 50mm?

Anyone else shoot with these on a 5d? Do you think 28mm wide is too big of a jump between 28 and 85?

I mainly just shoot the kids and family. At home, the park, at parties, etc.

Did you like the 30 and 85 combo on your 30D? Is so, go with the 50. If you felt like you would have like something wider go with the 28

I had the 28/50/85 combo when i had a crop and i now have the 35/50/85 on a 5D and, honestly, i rarely used the 50 then and dont really use it now either... its just too simialr to the other two to really justify taking out.

NADA...sold off my gear and bought a motorcycle. I might be back shooting someday...

I have used 24/2.8 and 85/1.8 on crop. But 24 is not wide enough, and 85 to narrow. I have ordered 5dm2, sigma 50mm/1.4 is on the way. And will buy 100mm macro. Sold my extension tube and cheap TC.

100mm macro will switch place with the 85mm 1.8. Not sure how this will work out, but should cower most I like to shoot.

I am curious how the sigma 50mm 1.4 will work out on ff. If there will be significant improvement compared to 24mm/2.8 on crop. At least dof should improve.

Also looking forward to dedicated macro. 85 on crop is slightly to long for me. And hope noise will improve in low lightning.
