I've just seen this (external link) on the ole ebay. Was wondering if any one has used one, and if it's decent or not.

Thanks in advance.

looks pretty cool...hell, for 11 bucks, it's worth a shot (if it ever gets to you)

How much weight can it hold? I doubt that's robust enough to hold a flash, softbox, and a pocketwizard or other triggering device.

I wouldn't trust it either for any more than an umbrella with speedlite, but if that's all you intend to use it with, it looks pretty cool :)

I got mine in the mail today and got it for $8 each (got 2) on ebay. It holds the flash and umbrella with no problems. Will play with them over the next few days and let ya know how they do.

Have now played with this a little and from what I can tell it works great. The only thing that seems to be a little off is the way the umbrella still has a little movement up and down in the slot (almost like the hole is just a hair big) but other than that works great. I have tried it now with a ctr-301p and 580 flash and umbrella (2 types, 1 shoot thru and 1 that is like a soft box) and all seems to work fine and do what they say it will do.

Thanks for the feedback BD - I've placed an order for a few! (two that fit on light stands & one to fit on a tripod).

patiently awaiting now.

You are lucky my own wont hold my flash and 46" Shoot through Umbrella , but is ok with Flash alone .

I am not 100% sure that we have the same thing though my unit can also double as a Ball Head .

This is what I have .

I did order these, BUT they never reached me. The seller on ebay said they would send out replacements, me being an idiot listened to that excuse...but they never came either! by that time, i think it's too late now to file for a refund via paypal.

anyways, it was 20 quid or so lost for the couple i order.

Instead, I've now bought these:-

which are really solid, compact and secure.
