I have some moon shots that I want to stitch together. I usually use (and like) the interactive tool in PS CS3 but it's choking on these ones for some reason. I expect there are a few gaps or something it doesn't like.

I could start doing them a bit at a time but it just got me wondering if there's something else that people really like for the job.

Steve.

It will only create mosaics that are squares or rectangles. eg 12x1, 3x4, etc. I have 22 frames of varying overlap and it just says "no".

Replying to my own question -
I came across iMerge (external link) which is just the type of thing I was after. It allowed me to mock up the mosaic quickly and see where there are gaps. It may be helpful to others.
