Not Post. Similar to what I said above Mike. Cutting off the barrel tip is similar to cutting off a limb in a photo. You want to be sure that the amputating of a barrel/limb/ect. doesn't take away from the photo. It occasionally does so by making the eye direct off the page and away from the photo. It's like putting a BIG ARROW saying "hey there's something interesting over there!" Too bad you can't see it! It's sub-conscious, but it happens.
