I disagree with Brad on the colors... Don't see the "Dull" factor here, as far as the color is concerned. I'm guessing that these are strait out of the camera.

Luke, if anything is "dull" it's the subject matter. They're all kind of stale. 1 and 4 are ok, because they have me focus on the eyes of the player. #2's screaming "keept it cause there's splatter". Although "splat" shots are great, this one isn't all that "spectacular". Lastly, the amputated barrels kinda bug me in 1-3. It's really directing the viewer's eyes off the photo. In almost every situation, I'd try to frame the full marker/barrel in the photo.

Watermarks, boarders, ect, everyone is going to have different opinions on. I won't comment.

On a good note, the exposures, colors, ect are not bad. I'm sure that after a day of photos that you have some better ones in the batch to post. I've seen your work before Luke, show us the good stuff!

Plenty of weekend to shoot at WC. Just thought I'd give my 2 cents to hopefully help even a little.

Those photos are out of the camera like that, sure they would pop a bit after post processing but Luke is not about that. I would not have posted so fast here because this is not PBN with rabid paintballers wanting to see photos from the event.

Luke I suggest you come back after the event and pull you 5 favorites after you process them if you are looking for a WOW from people here that are photographers(though I have aready seen some great stuff in your gallery already).

Be carefull with cropping. i dont like that you crop off the barrel.

I think he means the framing while shot. Not Post. Similar to what I said above Mike. Cutting off the barrel tip is similar to cutting off a limb in a photo. You want to be sure that the amputating of a barrel/limb/ect. doesn't take away from the photo. It occasionally does so by making the eye direct off the page and away from the photo. It's like putting a BIG ARROW saying "hey there's something interesting over there!" Too bad you can't see it! It's sub-conscious, but it happens.
