Very nice picture of the fish,
I listened this weekend to a program that spoke about how invasive species get into places, such as this lion fish has done.
one of the easiest ways to drop fish, and other organism that are not indiginous is thru Balast water discharge from ships in harbors.
It is against the Law now to unload balast water that is not open sea exchanged in USA harbors, or within 200 miles off shore.
A boat in the Pacific loads balast water off the coast of Chile and what ever gets sucked into the balast chambers and can survive the journey can be dropped off in Boston harbor..
The Zebra mussel that is not indiginous to the great lakes has now taken over and is causing great problems with that system..
A 3 million dollar fine was levied just this year to a shipping company for discharging balast water in USA ports.

Before I spent all my money on cameras, I spent all my money on salt water aquariums. I've owned many lion fish, along with trigger fish, clown, you name it, I've had it.

I had no idea they can be found around here. Wouldn't want to get poked by his top poker. Used to feed mine live guppies or goldfish. They were like a vacuum.

That is a very interesting looking one. I believe mine were Volitian Lions.
