Would have loved to get this in colour, but saw the opportunity in the garden and forgot i had the camera set on black and white!

thoughts/crit would be much appreciated!

first thought; shoot in raw mode :) second thought/critique, less lead in to not crop the tail, but it's good that you got some space infront of the bird. I love the noise these things make.. hear it in alot of movies, I wonder if they are related to kingfishers...

Hehehe Gotta love the use of a Kookaburra laugh in all the old Tarzan movies.

Yes, they are large Kingfishers.
