7D + 300mm +1.4x tcon

Greetings Canonnites. I mainly bought the 7D for reach with longer lenses and to hit the sweet spot on some lenses.

Tonight I tried the 300mm F/4L IS with a Canon 1.4x Tcon. I think this one turned out good for detail considered it was a 4 second exposure. The further you get from the lens, you pick up some blur from the tripod vibrations, plus this was shot wide-open so the depth of the field in limited too. I'll try it in daylight tomorrow and see what I can get with a 1/1000 shutter speed.

Just a tip to help prevent the tripod from moving is to tie a a sand bag or something similar to the center post.

that, or put the sandbag on top of the lens.
