Just did an e-session with Elaine and Michael last weekend. The weather was awful- dark, cloudy and raining. But, since they're getting married next week, this was the last weekend they had to do them. (Not my plan, theirs)

I'm looking for suggestions and tips on what I could do better next time, so please, don't hesitate to speak up.

I have not calibrated my monitor :o so how does the color look to those of you on calibrated monitors?

The full story and set can be seen on my blog in my sig.
Thanks

The first thing I thought was that the first three looked a bit over-saturated, because I do the same thing when faced with processing dull shots due to cloudy weather. That could just be my monitor though, so take it with a grain of salt.

The last one I really like, but what can I say, I'm a Trans Am fan!

Just checked out more of the shots, and I really like the fountain and the one right below it, the guy's got a great smile in that one.

Agreed. The Car shot is great!

I'm not on a calibrated monitor so I can't help there

That car shot is a winner...I also think the brolly shot is quirky.

Thanks guys & gals. The car shot wasn't my favorite at first, but I'm really starting to dig it. I just noticed his left headlight is not on, but the right one is...I don't remember it being like that on location...

The first few may look oversaturated because I think i did :o
I was trying to compensate for the dark gray skies by adjusting the white balance to "daylight" or "cloudy" to warm it up a bit. It's such a "B" to shoot in the rain!

Like everyone else, I think #4 is great. I like the silhouettes through the umbrella too. Is "The Goose's Acre" important to the couple? The sign is right in the middle of #1.

1. I don't like this at all. Awkward pose, purse on the step behind her, and the beams look like rifles pointing at her head.

2. Love it; especially his coy smile. Pay more attention to the framing in camera though so you're straight on parallel with the other side of the creek next time. If you straighten out the bank on the other side, the trees would tilt. Also, I'd clone out the green post in the foreground. It might be better in black and white so the background isn't so distracting.

3. Another good one. I'd clone out those boxes on the wall on the right. Do they love that pub? Or that is where they met?

4. Excellent. Minor nitpicks: her knee is hot and there are two cigarette butts you can clone out. I'd also remove the sign and the pole in the background right.

Thanks Hoff...No hassle here
Except, Does nobody read the blog? :)

Goose's Acre was one of their first dates, plus we spent alot of time under the bridge because of the rain.

I didn't notice the purse in #1 until after I posted it :o
