A few moon shots stitched together in photoshop (after using iMerge to select the frames).
Taken with a Canon S3IS afocally with a 30mm eyepiece in 8" SCT (Meade LX5).
Taken from the southern hemisphere so you folks up north will have to turn your monitor over.:)

Sorry about the different colors. I'm still deciding how I'd like to process them.

OMG!! 30mm eyepiece on an 8" SCT!? Those are brilliant, and are making me seriouly think about buying an adapter of some sort that'll let me mount my camera so that I can easily take afocal shots. (I've never had any success trying to hold the camera up to an eyepiece.)

But this is getting me VERY excited about viewing the moon with my new 11" SCT.

Great shots.
Good work ....no! Excellent work!
What's the next step? On to the moon as a whole?

Cheers

(I am not allowed yet to post stuff for sale but I will have a 40mm Scoptronix 58mm tread lens for sale soon. )

Very nice. I might be up for some moonage shots next month. Just tweaking some of my gear over the next couple of weeks.
