Peterm, You're obviously a good photographer. The G cameras produce great images in the right hands.

These are with the Canon WC-DC58B - I am really not sure why Canon don't recommend this package and only promote the tele option? I must admit this set up works really very well, the converter has a standard 58mm thread and fits any of the short adaptor options e.g. Canon own brand, Lensmate or the various clone US/Chinese suppliers. I have been very pleased with the results. John Baker

Great shots John. Glad to see the x.75 converter works on the G11. I also like the news that the Canon tube option will work with the wide converter, or tele converters that I already have for my G9. We're in Tennessee now, but still have not purchased a G11. Will be in Charleston, SC the end of this week, so will look down there.

Now the G series of cameras have been driving me mad trying to choose!!!, the G9, G10 and G11 are the choice, but after this thread the G11 seems to have just tipped it as quality over quantity definately appeals. I must admit I was really pleased, there does not appear to be too many problems with either distortion on the edges or with fringing. The Canon WA is a quality product and is well corrected, but like all things there is a cost to using adaptors, but the problem can be reduced with careful use. justinalamode wrote in post #9750562 Taken with the G11 and 580EXII attached. That was a blast to hold! Great pics, I find that using a simple flash bracket and getting the big gun off the top of the camera helps. You can then control with either an off camera cord, or the neater solution, is the small ST-E2 remote controller - which will control a whole host of flashes in two groups and allow you to alter the balance between them - all clever stuff.
