This video (external link) gives a sneak peek at some new features that Adobe is looking at for the next release of Photoshop.

Looks like they have given the brush engine some reworks which I think is long overdue. Not much has changed in this area over the last few upgrades. There is a pretty funky sample of warping.

If this is just a small sampling of what is on the roadmap for CS5 I am certainly looking forward to it.

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.

The content aware scaling was the biggest/coolest feature in CS 4. I think they need to do something like Apple did with Snow Leopard, stop adding features and go back, optimize code base, and refine things that have not been addressed ever or in a very long time.

It would be very refreshing to see this. (doubt it will happen, but who knows)

The paint brush function is gunning for Corel Painter, unfortunately it's still got a long way to go before it can match that engine.

The warp tool looks interesting, but as for the live demo on the field you can do that easily with the warp tool already, maybe not as easily but it can be done.

Warp tool looks like a crossover between the old warp and Liquify... Nice.
