looks great. I guess an added benefit would be a little easier to handle when it gets cold out.

There's lots of ready made ones, and Lens Coat is a trade mark, so you can actually buy real ones.

THey are worth the price if you get out and drag your lens through the brush shooting wildlife. Under my lenscoat, my 600 f/4 IS is MINT. there is not a single mark on my lens and its warmer to the touch in winter. I figure it'll pay for itself when I resell the lens.

Pretty sure this would work -Try a plumbers merchant for "solvent weld" pvc pipe adhesive -highly inflammable of course but bonds uPvc drain pipe etc solidly. Costs about £3.00 +/- here in UK.


Edit - Forgot to add that this stuff goes "off" pretty quickly so you only have roughly a minute work time before it sets.
