Ha! I too was stuck in Cheyenne after that snow storm. Slept in our car all night, it sucked!
I am glad we were only stuck in town for a couple hours. They opened the freeway heading North and we went in that direction. MANY cars in the road ditch. If everyone would have taken it easy and just stayed in their lane, things would have been fine. As soon as someone tried to pass and hit the pile of slush in the middle, they'd loose control and often take a couple others with. We avoided any mishaps and by about 75 miles north, I-25 was just wet.

Hey, John - nice images!
I'm curious to know if you took the elk in RMNP. Also, when did you take the image? I was down in Estes Park/RMNP a few weeks ago for the peak of the elk rut. Perhaps we were in the same "elk jam" at some point?
We spent most of our vacation from 10/4 to 10/9 around the Ouray CO area. We just spent the evening of the 9th in Estes Park and visited RMNP to take some pics of the Elk that evening. If you were there on the 9th around 4pm, we were likely in the same elk-jam!
Thanks everyone for the nice replies!!
